Another Great Place to have coffee in Brownsville.

One of the few place in Brownsville (Brooklyn, NY) where I can have a cup of coffee when visiting my mother, is at Dunkin Donuts on Linden Boulevard and Rockaway Avenue. The establishment has been opened for the past 5 five or so years. Before that, it used to be a laundromat in the 1990′s when I had just moved to the area from Crown Heights. Over the years, the area has been in the news only for the bad. Most recently, a two year had been shot with a bullet meant for his father. The father refused to cooperate with cops, but was not too long ago arrested trying to rob a 19 year old man on the subway at Saratoga Avenue on the number 3 line.

Looking at the polls & state of the campaign in the homestretch

(CNN) – It may be hard to figure out whether President Barack Obama or GOP nominee Mitt Romney is leading in the presidential race — but a panel with CNN’s chief political correspondent Candy Crowley on “State of the Union” made it clear that it will be a close election.

Republican pollster Bill McInturff said pollsters could not predict who would win based on recent polling, saying the race was “(within) a 1-point margin with …10 days left” and that it would be “hubris” to predict victory for either candidate. However, McInturff did predict we’ll see the largest difference in voting by gender and ethnicity ever in a modern presidential election, with women and minorities supporting Obama. He also dismissed a recent Associated Press poll showing Obama and Romney tied among women voters with 47% each, calling it an “outlier.”

RealClearPolitics – Election 2010 – Illinois Senate – Giannoulias vs. Kirk.

This is one of the campaign that will decides who control the senate. I still give the edge to Giannoulias, but believes that Kirk has the momentum.
